WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT CONSTRUCTION?

Construction has been around me my whole life. I built houses in the FM area with my dad for years before going to college at NDSU majoring in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. There are many things that I enjoy about construction, some that I knew going into it and some that I have learned to enjoy through my 11 years of experience. It’s majorly rewarding seeing an Owner’s excitement watching the building go up. We get to see it on every project and can take it for granted since it’s our every day, but it’s awesome seeing and hearing how excited they are to see the progress. I have also learned that I really enjoy the relationship building aspect of construction. Working with owners and subcontractors every day requires communication and critical thinking to make sure the project runs smoothly. Having a good relationship with those people makes everything feel more like a team working towards an end goal rather than a bunch of individuals struggling to find their way. It is also rewarding to be part of projects that help improve the communities we live in, especially as someone who has been in Fargo my whole life.

HOBBIES: I enjoy golfing as much as possible, going to the lakes, running, home projects, playing softball, spending time with my family especially outdoors, and traveling.

FAMILY INFO: Married with 1 son who is almost 2 years old, and soon to have second kid in August.
